I never once debated Mayweather's current status. I once debated his "ATG" credentials, but that was about it. How is questioning Roger's claim to being the best any shot at Floyd?

For those who say that Steward rode Lewis and Klitschko's coat tails, I beg to differ. Wladimir had just been KO'd by Sanders when Emmanuel picked him up. Lennox I agree with but to say he just rides coattails would be totally overlooking his efforts in the Kronk gym, both in the 80's and even today.

no you dont get it. Like i said fans say "who has floyd faught" now its turning into "who has floyd trainer trained" I never said you said any of it though u did say the second quote. What is funny about this is, Roger has never claimed he was the best trainer. I have never heard him claim such feat. If writers want to to say it then that's their opinion. vs. Bernard he did he basically he quit. I remember in the first fight Hopkins was hitting him with combinations on the ropes and Taylor wasnt firing back and he did the classic "i quit" move and turned his back towards towards Hopkins.

Against Winky he got his face all swollen and couldnt beat a smaller fighter with pillows for hands.


Before he fought B-Hop they asked him if he was ready to challenge and become middleweight King, and he answered "well i dont know, we'll see what happends" even Roy Jones said (he was an announcer at the time)"wow thats something to worry about, if they asked me if i was ready i would say of course im ready to be the best"

banks will be WBO cruiserweight champ in 3-4 months time. Now that the belt is vacant and he is the number 1 contender he should get the shot.

Taylor has no talent, it's that simple. He's an average fighter at best who was brought along by HBO to replace the longtime controversial Champion Hopkins, he was given everything from gift decisions to smaller opponets and he still couldn't look half alive.

Nothing Steward could've done would've made Jermain a better fighter, save for resurrecting the spirit of a prime Tommy Hearns and put it into Taylor's body.....even then I think Taylor would've found a way to **** it up.

where did this guy get the claim that roger is the best trainer anyways? Did he just make it up to start a thread about it. I have never heard Roger claim he is the best trainer. I don't recall anyone in boxing really saying that so and so is the best trainer. How do you judge that. there is no way to judge who the best trainer is.
