Juan Diaz: A Potentially Costly Loss

Thats funny, since PAC as ya'll call him, a "pound-for-Pound" best doesnt have any belts himself. why...cuz he hasnt beat any active champions.Comment

Don't get me wrong, I like Juan Diaz very much. He's a good kid wishing to have a good life by becoming a lawyer someday. He's doing good in his boxing to give the good things in life for his parents and family.
It's just that he was clearly beaten on this fight that might be a potentially costly loss.Comment

I already answered this. Maybe you didn't read the previous posts. His low punch output in the championship rounds showed that he was broken down physically and mentally. He's not the same Juan.

juan got bested by a very good boxer in campbell. props to campbell, hopefully he gives diaz a rematch - don king'll prolly have something to say about that.
in any case, lederman is going senile - that was a CLEAR UD victory for campbell and the dude doesn't use his head, campbell opened diaz up from a punch.
campbell brought it.Comment

K.
People who didn't watch the fight, zip it. Quit looking at the eye and thinking Cambell dominated every single round. It was one of the more exciting fights under 150 lbs (outside of the obvious in Vasquez/Marquez) that we've seen recently. Both guys threw nonstop punches.....and took to give.
Campbell grazed Diaz with the laces on his glove, which opened up the cut over his eye. From that point on, Campbell continued to throw over 100 punches a round damn near, and use veteran tactics to re-open the cut. Like the head butts, punching in the clinch, and constant body/shoulder rough house tactics.
It was a great performance by the vet, and nothing can be taken away from him. But Diaz losing this fight was moreoso because of how flustered he was at the prospect of his face being as grotesquely damaged as it was. Once he saw the blood, the air started leaving his balloon.

PAC didn't call himself P4P best. He didn't even consider himself as a "Mexican Assassin". Blame it to Ring Magazine and other boxing people.Comment

i can make your sesame street argument too. check it out.
there is no way that campbell will ever be back, he was winning the fight and like an idiot dropped his hands and got cold clocked by robbie peden. how could he possibly go on with life knowing that he lost his opportunity to be world champion because he acted like a 12 year old
or
why would sugar ray EVER take that rematch with duran, duran came UP in weight and made him pis blood for two weeks after in a montreal hotel, he had all the money and fame in the world and now its all gone, how will he ever overcome?
feel me? now stop it dog, i just proved to you that your argument is ****.Last edited by baya; 03-10-2008, 11:23 AM.Comment
