im sorry i dont mean to drag this on at all but he could not see had was bleeding like a pig. Lets say hes losing and not cut no way he would think of quitting, the only thought of quitting was due to his impaired vision and he probably knew he couldnt win with one eye.
Juan Diaz: A Potentially Costly Loss

I dunno, Casamayor has like 300 amateur fights and has been a pro for 12 years. Campbell didn't turn pro until he was 28. He doesn't have the same kind of wear on his body that Casamayor does. Plus, Casamayor isn't known as a health freak between fights.Like I said in previous posts, this remains to be seen. I considered Juan mentally broken down and you did not. Hope Juan will fight next the loser of Casa-Katsidis so that we can assess if he's actually mentally broken down.
Casa is slick and old like Nate. Katsidis is a relentless volume puncher also like Nate. Any of these two is a good test for Juan.

If Diaz can discipline himself through a few fights over decent fighters where he can gain confidence in fighting a different style, he'd have a decent shot. If he can mix it up going inside, boxing a little, and trying to jab with Campbell, his chances are much better. If he goes in and tries to fight the same fight he did with Campbell, he's going to lose without a question. Campbell can adjust where it doesn't see Diaz can.im sorry i dont mean to drag this on at all but he could not see had was bleeding like a pig. I am not sure about that honestly. To me he really stopped fighting after the cut. Don't get me wrong. The kid has guts or he never would have kept going back. What I was really surprised at was the fact that he seemed to fold mentally the last half of the fight. I was stunned. I did not expect that kind of mental fragility from Juan.Comment

I think we're all forgetting juans age here, it's easy to forget with all that he has acomplished that he's only 24. He's still in the learning stages of his career and has already acomplished more in the ring then nate cambell will end up acomplishing in his entire life time. Obviously there's alot of disagreement, can we all agree that Juan is a better fighter then cambell?I am not sure about that honestly. To me he really stopped fighting after the cut. Why would he be better than Campbell when Campbell beat him at his own fight? I'll tell you what, there won't be much more learning going on for Diaz if he doesn't learn how to protect himself better. He won't be around 2 more years at that pace.I think we're all forgetting juans age here, it's easy to forget with all that he has acomplished that he's only 24. Do you watch boxing? or do you just look at the screen when boxing is on? because there is a difference. Beat him at his own fight??? Juan gets in close, outworks his opponents, and pounds the body ,yes: but it has never been juans fight to fight dirty, juan fight and wins by honestly out working the other guy, not by using dirty tactics to gain an advantage. Anyone who says that the cut wasnt a difference make, im imagining has never been in a real fight.Comment

Have to agree with you there. There was only one victor and it was not the one I thought would come out victorious (Juan). It is good that the first victory came early for JD but I am a bit concerned by the manner of his loss. I just don't know if you come back from the way he collapsed. To me that was far more troubling then a knockout.
We shall see.Comment
