Juan Diaz: A Potentially Costly Loss

its not the end of juan, great boxers are refined by defeat. juan's cut affected his vision and his punches. great boxers take defeat as a challenge.

I agree, it's probably a good thing that this loss happened while he was still young and can bounce back from it. He sure took a lot of punishment in the last half of the fight, though. I'd actually like to see Juan lose a few pounds of belly fat and go down one or two weight classes where his power would be more effective.

If Juan can get over his lose. He will be a better fighter. One important reason i say this is because Diaz never stopped fighting back, never covering up to allow campbel to take over. Young fighters as long as they are over the lose can learn tremendous from there lose.

Golden Boys doesn't match there fighters soft so i don't know what the fuss is all about. Golden Boy will protect your interest in getting a fair deal, im sure thats it. But you the fighters still has to win against the top guys they put against you.

          .
I think you and I thought we saw two different fights. Juan Diaz covering up and allowing Campbell to take over is exactly what I saw in the last half of htis fight. It is what has me most concerned about Diaz is that he stopped fighting. Sure he kept coming out each round but but then he stuck his head between his gloves and ducked down and did very little punching.

You could be right. I just didn't see it that way. I didn't see heart by anyone but Campbell that night.

It seems like the poker-faced Nate is enjoying giving "hell" to Juan. Props to Juan for enduring the punishment and finishing the fight.

I think nate came in there with an absolute win at all costs attitude... he knows at 36 it might be his last chance to become a champion... he was willing to die in there... I loved it...

And i was talkin trash on nate before the fight, sayin who has he fought? hes 36-5? and juan diaz is a beast...

Nate owned me... I loved it.
