But how do those fighters become eliete? No fighter is just born eliete. You do it by beating the best in your division/or other fighters that have proved themselves.

Which is exactly what Calzaghe and Hopkins did.

of coarse not but u aint Elite untill u have beaten someone who has a proven record & has beaten Elite fighters themselves

Eubank ,Reid are not Elite ,Kessler is yet to prove his worth as an Elite fighter

dont get me wrong they are good fighters just not Elite

Cotto ,Mosley ,J C Chavez ,Trinidad ,RJJ ,Toney ,Holyfield ,Lewis come on u know what fightrs are Elite & which are a level below

Kessler dominated the other people Calzaghe wasn't facing at the time. He was beating the best in the division. That makes he worthy in my book.

Robin Reid is damn good too and completely dominated Sven Ottke. Reid also had a damn close fight with Calzaghe/

Most of the "elite" fighters proved themselves by beating the best in their divisions or they beat the guys that had already proved themselves.

Well even if Robin Reid isn't, he is still damn good.

And that even makes Kessler still elite. Calzaghe's resume is almost as good as Hopkins. I'd say Hopkins would have the slight advantage in it.

They were the top people in their divisions other then Lacy and Calzaghe. Kessler is an elite fighter.
