just to inform you, the steroid epidemic is in the UK right now.. thats where its the biggest as of now.. reguardless of the MLB problems..

i dont believe the steroids tarnished his legacy at all man.. thats my opinion.. roy wouldve swashed every1 either way..

this will be my final post in this thread..
Because lots of athletes use steroids makes it ok? What kind of **** logic is that, lots of people use crack, its stick illegal and isn't ok. Drugs in sport isn't right and never will be.

I may be wrong but as far as there being a steroid epedemic in UK I haven't heard much, there's Dwain Chambers being picked for the world championships when he used drugs in the passed, but that's about it. But as I've said I might be wrong.

Well, just maybe it gave him that little boost in confidence he may have needed going up against DLH. Vargas has come up short in his biggest fights, so don't think that wasn't in the back of his mind. Only he knows what demons he's fighting. In case you hadn't heard, boxing is just as much mental as it is physical. You must always take that into consideration to see the big picture, birdbrain.(lol)

But you cannot ignore that he may have performed better still than he would have without the roids.
Obviously you will have fighters who face opponents who even with steroids are still not going to have a big enough advantage to win.
It's hard to say because he stood up better against Trinidad back when Trinidad was the ****! And Vargas didn't seem to take them back then. Maybe it did help his strength somewhat in the begging of the fight. I don't completely disagree with you on that. And I do realize DLH might have have had more skills than Trinidad but I don't think he had the phisical gifts Trinidads had.

I really think that the "evidence" for Roy's roid use comes from hear say for the most part. The "roids" he was using when he fought Hall was Ripped Fuel - it it speeds up your metabolism to help loose weight and help you become ripped. The other stuff is just he didn't look good after BALCO - well he did get older. Look at when Sugar Ray Robinson started loosing fights. A lot of speed guys slow down and start to loose more and have to change their style. Roy has done things in the ring that are beyond what drug enhancement could do. The man was the hardest puncher when he was at 168 - that didn't follow him up during his roid years at light heavy. I just hope the Baby Joe beats B-Hop and then takes on Roy. Joe has always feared Jones - and there is good reason. It would be great to see a October/November fight with them.

I didn't know he used steroids, I know he was found to have used some type of steroid in one fight out of more than fifty and that in that same fight his opponent also tested positive for steroids.

If that's what you are talking about it has no effect on my opinion of his legacy...
