How big a factor was Roy Jones Steroid use?

Let's not forget that Calzaghe, Hatton and Haye are also under su****ion for steroid abuse. I know a couple baseball players that are on roids but, it's really obvious they're on it. They get reallly bad acne, they're face is fat, and they're not very pleasant to hang out with. RJJ, Calzaghe, Hatton, and haye really don't look very different except the fact that RJJ and Calzaghe look older. I've never seen roy with a fat face and really bad acne. So I don't believe roids played any real role in RJJ's career. Roids only really helps you with recovery and muscle mass building not really too much when it comes to the actual fight. I couldn't really tell thaT Toney was on roids for his Ruiz fight, he looked no different than he did in his other fights at HW. Why all the recent RJJ hate all of a sudden though?

And neither does nasal congestant which was the original excuse later changed to ripped fuel.

it's all word of mouth buddy. I've heard from several other people but really don't have the time to waste scouring the net to prove my point. I've heard of those four being under su****ion but, the RJJ scandal really wasn't that big. I really don't believe roids plays a huge role in many fighters' careers. It really doesn't help. Toney was on roids when he fought batchelder and the way you guys describe roids is like it's supposed to turn you into some kind of super elite warrior. That's not really the case.

All British fighters weather fighting at home or abroad are tested within 7days of any title fight even area fight.

Considering the steriod Jones used was Testosterone (yes he also used the legal Anabol Ripped Fuel) and is the main ingredient for all Anabolic steroids has a half life of 12wks.

Id say its bs.

Jones had elevated Testosterone levels in 97 and missed 3 rtandom drug test between 98-02.
