How people can say James Toney's a wasted talent is beyond me. The guy's a throwback fighter and was a 'poster boy' as an active World Champion. You'd have to go back 50 years to see another fighter with a record like James'. Chavez is another who comes to mind.
He's always fought the very best and never knocked back anyone. Toney's a former middleweight who's now campaigning as a Heavyweight gives an indication the guy has Brass 'Koyones'!
The guy will enter Boxing's Hall of Fame with more fanfare than Roy Jones who only fought at Heavy once against one of the weakest WBA Heavy Champ.Comment

First on my list would be Corrie Sanders. The guy had everything. Rockin' power, fast hands, size, ability, talent, heart, skill, smarts, agressiveness, chin....everything except drive and ambition. He never took boxing seriously enough to truly shine. His fight against Wlad was one of his shining moments, but for the most part, he never bothered to really train. He just showed up however he happened to be and fought. If he'd been able to go 12 rounds instead of a max of 7, the guy would've been my pick over Lewis, or just about any other heavyweight I can think of during his time.Comment
