Its a "stay busy" fight. Not a tune-up. Cotto is fighting Gomez, in order to stay busy, while he awaits the winner of Cintron/Margarito. Would u prefer he sit on the sidelines and fight nobody? Dont get me wrong, im not crazy about Gomez as an opponent, but its better than not fighting at all.

Exactly, Cotto fought Urkal and Mosley, and already called out De La Hoya, so he can definitely be like Floyd.

its obvious if u are p4p that u make more money from that status so your career should be scrutinised more

Well, if Cotto is fighitng old men on the way up, imagine when who he is going to pick once he is estabilished.

No, he would definitly not be able to stay on top for as long, garner the attraction and fame Floyd is getting or stay undefeated like Floyd has.

So your guess is that while Cotto takes the easy way up, he is going to satisfy all of us fans most wild desires once he gets to the top?

                      Who wouldn't?

I mean as fans we have different opinions but we need to be realistic any man would like to earn as much as they can and Cotto is would be no different. Hell even "the most feared man" Margarito took Williams over Cotto for a better payday
