Castillo has always been a pressure fighter. When he won it from Stevie Johnson then drew with him it was as a pressure fighter. When he fought Mayweather twice and lost both, it was as a pressure fighter. When he fought Lazcano, Casamayor, Diaz, and Corrales twice they were all as a pressure fighter. Castillo is also more of an in-fighter than Cotto.

I think Floyd is real slick on the inside and can pick his shots, but Cotto can do the same and is actually really good against the ropes which Floyd doesn't like to be at during a fight.

As a fighter, I'd rather be fighting Floyd on the inside instead of Cotto. He seems to cause more damage as proven in his past fights against similar 9or same) opposition.

Baldomir could not be so bad i thought. I digged it up and it turns out the man (Baldomir, the slow club fighter) had not lost in 10 years upon the Floyd fight and was the linear champion! wow, not bad for a "clubfighter" huh?
Just to straight that up because the narrative around Floyd is that he's a boring fighter and Baldomir was his most boring fight. All lies, and the new guys who won't take the time to actually see the fights buy into it and without ever seeing the fights themselves!

Floyd is a great inside fighter..He's even better off the ropes.

Mayweather fights off the ropes better than anybody in the sport today..hands down..

                And

                Unlike Chavez......he NEVER QUIT.

I specifically remember in the Baldomir fight.. when Floyd stopped moving.. turned sideways, put his right glove up, and his left covering the stomach... typical floyd defense... and he started walking.. right into baldomir.. and literally allowing carlos to just throw at him, while floyd picked them off and countered, right inside the pocket...

Im not comparing Baldomir to Cotto.. but more floyds ability to do that to someone, who DOES have power...

All credit goes to Piggu, for the idea of this thread.

Baldo..Blado.. man, we talkin bout Baldo...
