I don't really think that was a failing of Khan. St Claire point blank refused to engage with Khan so Khan had no choice but to thrown punches that were hitting the gloves and arms. Against better opposition he will face people who are looking to engage with him which will give him more opportunities to land meaningful punches.

yep, st clair spent most of the fight walking towards khan in a crouch with winky style guard.

St. Claire i believed, went in there to win. However, i think after the 6/7th round when after letting Khan do all the work and he wasn't tired (to Gary St.Claire's suprise) St.Claire decided to slow it down and survive the bout - which means he is still a valuable commodity.

Lets face it St. Claire is a durable opponent and is renowned for it, he retained that tonight, and therefore can guarentee that he'll have phone calls in the morning, for anyone wanting a journeyman that'll last 12 rounds.

Khan however, did well... took a few shots, but also proved he was incredibly fast and fit. ONe thing nobody else has mentioned - how big did Khan look for his weight!! When they said he was only 5% body fat nowadays i believe it. The boy looks huge. I'm changing my stance on Khan, i like him and i think he's taking risks in his opponents.

I've gone from Khan sceptic, to being Khan savvy.

Khan did well tonight against a tough but small opponent, St Clair was a good test to see if khan could last the distance but there will be a lot tougher tests than this one.

IMO Khan done ok, His an up and comer!!! Handspeed was good, Footwork also, Kept his mind on the job.A good win. What more can you ask? In time it will tell how good he is, and how good he can become.
