I think Hopkins is pretty smart, he went from prison and having no future to a top boxer and rich promoter.

Sure he isn't a mathematical genius but he is an intelligent boxer and knows how to promote himself.
It's easy to say his promoting skills are garbage, he isn't classy for sure but he has been a self-promoter all his life and see where it got him.

I'm tired of the double standard personally, but changing it won't happen for a long time.

What I'm really bored with is fighters who talk all this crap about thier opponent and then afterwords they say "that's just to sell tickets" and talk about what a great guy thier opponent is. If there is truly bad blood, then keep it that way, if not, then just shut up and compete.

Well from a piece of garbage that used to rob people with a gun for a living, not so much any more. Funny how he skipped the talented SMW division to fight Tarver, who'd lost 2 of his last 5 fights, then dragged Winky up 16 pounds above where he'd last won a title and had to headbutt his way to a win there. A chump that had to starve his way down to MW to have any kind of career at all and whose biggest wins have come over much smaller opponents. It was an ignorant, racist statement, but I didn't really expect any better from low-life scum like Hopkins.
