I’m not offended. Racism simply shows just how ignorant a person really is. In any case, the “war of words” boxers take part in before a fight is boring most of the time anyway. I mean, who really decides whether or not to watch a fight based on what the boxers say to each other? “Ooh, he called him a name! Now I really have to see the fight!” It’s so played out. *

    * Along these lines, can we also please do away with the fake fight at the press conference and/or weigh in? It’s ******, pointless, and embarrassing to the sport.

Naw, the h0nkey will not be beat by a ******.

Imagine the uproar if it had been the other way around. Hopkins gets to throw a PR flag to the floor and insult white people and completely get away with it. I hope that Joe is able to give him the first KO in his career. I mean out cold and still throwing punches from his back like Yanqui Diaz when he fought Sam Peter.

Stop it. Invective, ecpecially racial invective, is part of boxing's history. It doesn't mean anything. You say the worst things about the guy before the fight and then you hug him afterwards. Although, you're correct in your diagnosis of a double standard, I think we all have to stop being s sensitive and let the guys but on a show before the fight and then during the fight.

IMO fighters can say what they want about their opponent but for me racism has no place....anywhere. Personally, I think Hopkins should have been pulled up for it. Pity for Hop that Joe will take that insult out on his face.

Some people really believe that white men can't fight, you know "always bet on the black guy" and all that.

So yes, I do find those comments offensive.

Hopkins is racist scum. I sincerely hope Joe puts him in hospital with permanent brain damage, so he needs feeding, washing, and his arse wiped for him til he dies a slow, undignified death in his own piss-stained nappies. I mean every word I just said, I hate that ****.

I am mixed but I am part black and I KNOW I would be offended at first but than would come to the realization that is was to hype the fight if Joe said it that is. Hopkins should have definitely taken another route to make this fight an event but he chose a lowly way to do so and should be reprimanded because of it. However, it is what it is I guess and that's hype.

Really? SHould ALi have been pulled for calling Frazier an "Uncle Tom" or as "Black as night." Should Ali have been pulled for calling Foreman a "Monkey." This is ******. He said I'm not letting no "white boy" beat me. Wow... Oh my God... He said "white boy." Who gives a ****? He's gonna be wrong.

Well then it's up to the fighters t prove him wrong. I don't understand how B-Hop's comments can change reality.
