See, if you had said that Hopkins isn't the best middleweight of all time instead of saying his resume is pathetic many more would've agreed with you.

But you wouldn't have this many posts in your thread either so I guess it's acceptable to use exaggeration in this case.

Just as long as you agree his resume isn't pathetic.

Most fighters get three slots for their notable wins.

Most fighters have names on the notable wins that everyone would recognize.

      Who is Robert Allen again?

Then to round out his middleweight record, he beats 130 pounder De La Hoya, B level Eastman (who lost to Joppy), and then dropped 2 to Taylor.

      Sweet.

      Best... Middleweight... Ever...
lol who did Wright beat before a Blown up Mosley? Bronco Mckart?

        44-0... WOW!

The only knock is his opposition's record only includes 12 wins spread out between all of them.

        That is ****ing terrible.

I did misphrase what I meant.

And HBO REALLY ****ed up by putting Allen as the top guy, instead of someone like Joppy.

2 wins over Shane... and almost beating the undefeated Vargas... I guess that is kind of revisionist to say that he was known as excellent before beating Trinidad.

Yeah, it's exactly the same. EXACTLY!

Hatton had spent his whole career one division under, and had one fight at the weight.

Wright spent nearly his whole career at 154. He only had 4 fights at 160, and then moved up another 10 pounds to fight for the LHW title.

Exactly the same. No ****ing joke.

Robinson and Hagler beat a combined 30 middleweights better than Monzon's best middleweight oponent.
Nino Benvenuti (82-4, 3-time world champion), Emile Griffith (70-11, 5-time world champion), Jose Napoles (75-5, 3-time world champion) and Rodrigo Valdez (57-4, 2-time world champion) were bums?
Wow dude, just because you don't know s*** about the boxers Monzon fought doesn't mean they were bums.

Monzon fought anyone, anywhere, anytime. He always fought solid opposition and beat them in their own home countries.
Also count in the fact that he was not beaten in 13 years, he only lost in his early 20's.

Look at the records of the boxers he defended his titles against, you think those guys were bums?

Hagler fought some damn good opposition too, Monzon and Hagler are the top middleweights. Robinson's best work was done at WW.

                    He beat nobody before Mosley.

Wink is my boy, but I'm illustrating how a different take can be given on another fighter's resume in comparison to the one you're critiquing.

In Bernards. I wasn't flaming or anything, I just thought it was funny because Wright is IMO an ATG and certainly top 10 P4P at one point much higher rated guy........etc. He just lacked the real marquee name fights prior.
