Don't get it twisted Dawson might not want to fight Roy just yet because Roy is still a VET and he knows how to win and wear down his opponents with his famous body shots....Roy's hands r still fast and his defence is better just ask Tito how many head shots he was able to land??Comment

Of course Dawson would want to fight Roy Jones. It would give him his biggest paycheck of his life and a chance to make a big name for himself. Boxers like Dawson live for an opportunity to catch a legend at the end of their career while they still have name value.Comment

Although I dont agree with your conclusion, Joe Chad would be a great match and if we're lucky, it could be on. Joe says he wants to fight someone in their prime, if Kelly/ Jermain get tied up in a third rubber and Chad beats (as I think he will) Johnson then you and me can get some points on it. I think Chad is one for the future(see my other post) and I'm prepared to give him the benefit of the doubt when he said the knockdowns he took were 'flash' (he did seem more pissed off than hurt in one of them). No one has outboxed Joe yet, but a southpaw southpaw match up would be good viewing and I think Chad would be more of a test than Kelly or Jermain coming up to 168 or 170 catchweight. Given Chad claims he can make 168, at least will get to see Dawson / Kessler if the Joe fight doesn't materialise. PeaceIf that was not the first time, then what other time was he hurt? When he got up, he was not wobbly at all and just shook it off and went back to work. He won the last two rounds as well. He was also hit with a few more hard right hands at the end of the round and didn't blink so like i said, he was just caught off guard with a good shot. Also, Calzaghe has not faced someone that is as tecninally sound as Dawson, a fighter that as equally fast, better counter puncher, a weight class bigger, and better pure boxing skills than he has. I see Calzaghe being out boxed and countered a lot in this fight. Dawson will definatley have his moments when Calzaghe drops his hands and fools around. Calzaghe's work rate is good but how would he continuously land those shots on the elusive Chad Dawson?:nonono:

Mendoza, Ruiz and Adamek (Adamek kd in 7th Chad kd 10th) are the last three (two KO's and a UD), Harding before that (Chad caught caught flush with a left from another southpaw and went down one of his 'flash' knockdowns)Comment

Its probably the best thing for Roy to fight Dawson. If he won, that would show fans that he is still capable of competing at a high level in the sport. If he lost, then he he know to retire. I just feel like Dawson could Roy badly and I don't want to see that happen.Comment
