Dawson is a classic pure boxer that could is fast enough to time Roy coming in with hard counter shots because Roy has though flaws, he was just fast enough to get away with them against fighters that could not take advantage.

I would lean toward Roy at this point because Dawson is still learning and devoloping his skills. But once he gets his ora down and if he shows a good chin, i might change my opinion. Roy in his prime was unreal.lol probably the fastest boxer of all time.

Tarver just got lucky and ran into a body dead Roy Jones when he fought him. If that fight had taken place just a year before it did, Jones would have dominated him. Dawson is better than Tarver ever was, IMO.

i agree.... even in his losses.. roy was still the better fighter... he was just gunshy in the 3rd fight.. which is why he continues to call out tarver... and yes dawson is way better than tarver
