Not because he can't take a punch (although that never helps) but because he is'nt ready for that level. Calzaghe's work rate would overwhelm Dawson just like it has everyone else. Calzaghe throws everyone off their game and Dawson is still green.
If that was not the first time, then what other time was he hurt? When he got up, he was not wobbly at all and just shook it off and went back to work. He won the last two rounds as well. He was also hit with a few more hard right hands at the end of the round and didn't blink so like i said, he was just caught off guard with a good shot. Also, Calzaghe has not faced someone that is as tecninally sound as Dawson, a fighter that as equally fast, better counter puncher, a weight class bigger, and better pure boxing skills than he has. I see Calzaghe being out boxed and countered a lot in this fight. Dawson will definatley have his moments when Calzaghe drops his hands and fools around. Calzaghe's work rate is good but how would he continuously land those shots on the elusive Chad Dawson?:nonono:

Chad is pretty good. I saw him live when he fought Mendoza, he messed him up good. I hope Dawson can fight Diaconu in Sacramento, CA again

The point he was making is that Dawson is a good boxer but looking good at a lower level is easier, do you really think calzaghe would drop his hands to someone who is just as fast as dawson? and chad dawson is not that elusive he does get caught alot. Its a fight i'd love to see tho.

I know that Chad has to make a name for himself, but seriously he has to realize that Roy is looking for the big money fights. Fighting him won't be as huge a payday for Roy as the guys he named.

roys style usually makes the other person uncomfortable, and hard to get used to... he holds his lead hand up to block site of your jab, and then counters you with the fast right youve ever seen.. even still today... a lot of people dont let there hands go on roy, cuz they know he makes you pay for it...... Why should Roy fight Dawson? Roy ca fight bigger name fighters, for more money, and have a better chance at winning. Dawson hasn't beaten anyone of note yet. Dawson's claim that Roy is picking on little guys is silly. Dawson is not Roy's size, he's much bigger naturally than Roy. Roy's frame is no bigger than Pavlik's or Taylor's...two guys who dry out to the max to make 160.
