yeah great point, and then there is talk of a fight with cotto so it should be interesting to see what happens after the Judah fight and who Marg fights after him.

Thank you. I get so sick of reading people using their imaginations to rewrite history, or say things like promoters work for boxers.

Arum would gladly cancel that plan if Oscar would accept a fight with Cotto. If Oscar were to accept a fight against Margarito, he would scrap that plan as well.

For Forrest.........we shall see what he does. He certainly doesn't wanna ruin his fighters "Most Feared Welterweight" Image since he is the one who created it. Fact is, there are other options out there for Cotto, he is easy to deal with. It's margarito who he has trouble landing fights for and here is Forrest calling. He has to take it.

The only fight Arum is going let Margarito take at 154 is against DLH because of the money involved. No way in hell he would let him face Forrest because if it was PPV it wouldn't break 100k between the two of them.

Yes he would, but Oscar won'tcome knocking, and fights with judah and Cotto, and cintron, are bigger than a fight with Forrest, and he would also profit more with fighting him with Clottey before Forrest since he promotes him and people have actually called for a rematch because of the hand injuries, I just hink Forrest is very far from Arum's wish list and calling him out does him no good, that's all.

Arum was going to kill the fight until Margarito signed an extension with Top Rank. This isn't my opinion, it is fact. Go check it out if you don't believe it.
I can't find you the link right now because it has been so long since I needed it BUT there is an article out there right now where Margarito was questioning Williams's record saying "Who has he beaten besides a washed up Mitchell, I don't have to fight him". It's only after the ducking talk increased that he finally changed his mind. He was even gonna vacate his WBO title but changed his mind. Facts

And if neither Oscar or Floyd will fight his guys. Arum wants to build up a PPV match between Cotto and Margarito. Vernon Forrest can't draw flies which is why he fights in Spokane,WA or on Tarver undercards.

Why is Margarito running around calling for Oscar in May and Forrest? Is he just trying to get his name out there or is he really available to fight either one of those guys?

I'd like to think he is.
Its never a bad thing to have a plan B for May 3 if Judah drops out. Maybe it will be Forrest and maybe it won't be. Still, Judah is still there and until he's officially out, Forrest will have to be a plan B. And, I don't see Forrest waiting until May 3 either and there are no television dates on Showtime or HBO before late April. At least for them to headline.

Id rather fight Forrest than Judah as well if I was Margarito. Forrest has looked like garbage recently, has a belt, and if he loses he's still looked at as a contender at 147. Not to mention Zab is quicker which would be a problem for the slow Margarito, left handed, and Id even say has more pop. If anything calling out Forrest looks like ducking the fight theyre trying to line up in Judah.
