It would never make PPV. Margarito-Forrest is Regular HBO championship fight or showtime fight. Hell Margarito-Cotto won't even make PPV. Margarito has proven that he can't even sell 30K.

Cotto with Judah didn't even do 400K, how is gonna sell a PPV with Margarito?

It's only after the ducking talk increased that he finally changed his mind. He was even gonna vacate his WBO title but changed his mind. Facts

Margarito didn't think Williams was worthy, but he fought him instead of giving up his title. He didn't have to fight him but did anyways, costing him a better paying match against Cotto. You can't be accused of ducking someone you actually ended up fighting.

Forrest is a has been, it's too late in his game to start talkin and acting like he's in his prime; Shane would beat him at 147 now.

You need to recheck your facts. Dan Goosen offered Margarito more money then Arum offered for the Cotto fight. It was on boxiingtalk.com.

Money was NOT a issue. Cotto/Margarito was gonna be a 60/40 money split in favor of Cotto.

Against Williams, Margarito was gonna get 60% of the pie and make more money. I remember this like it was yesterday.

Margarito had no excuses. More money to make, keep his WBO title and then fight Cotto. The "Margarito ducking Williams" talk was all over the internet....and that's why he took the fight. He had no choice otherwise he was gonna end up looking like a hypocrite calling Mayweather a coward.

Not entirely true. The money amounts were very close, but Margarito would have received a piece of the PPV if he fought Cotto and would have made more money overall.

I don't care what anybody says. Marg/Forrest can be a monster fight if promoted right. These two will lay hands all over each other. Forrest was hitting Baldomir with some of the hardest **** I've seen in awhile, it was like he was trying to take his head off. Very similar to when Kessler was ripping Andrade to the dome. If Baldy didn't have an adamantium skull, we would've saw a vicious KO.

Marg opened his mouth first, I say let nature take its course.

The Cotto fight would have made Margarito more money. Your facts are wrong and b-talk is notorious for blowing all of Al Haymon's fighters because they give Greg Leon the interviews he charges suckers to read. Percentages don't mean anything when the purse size is different. Margarito had to renegotiate with his own promoter to get the Williams fight. Williams wasn't a big name (and still isn't) and nobody would have given him a second thought if Tony fights Cotto in a much more prestigious PPV. Internet talk doesn't mean **** in the real boxing world.

I can't remember evereything off the top of my head. I just remember Goosen offereing him more money. I know he was gonna make a little more then against Cotto. The difference was like 1.0mill dollars to 1.2 or something like that. But it was still more money.

Forrest would waste Margarito, I swear Tony's got to be one of the most overrated people in recent history. Forrest is too smart, and too hungry for him. And for the guy that said Mayorga could barely be Vargas, please man, He owned Vargas in a very entertaining match up. Mayorga is the orignal bad boy wildman not Margarito, He'd own Tony, then he'd own Forrest again, BUT IN THE MEAN TIME, Margy's got his hands full with Zab Judah, o what you guys forgot about the effort Judah put against Cotto? He may be inconsistent but when he wants to turn it on, Judah can be a problem
