Besides, It's easy to point out how he ****ed up, in retrospect.

However, when he made the KO claims in the build up to the fight, everyone essentially agreed with him.

I mean, I look back at people's predictions and it's a total whitewash. Nobody gave Calzaghe a chance.

So was he ****** for expecting a 1 punch KO? Maybe it seems ****** now...but in 2006 it did'nt sound so ******.
Not having a plan to win a decision is ****** in any fight IMO.

Klitschko vs. Calderon... Wlad should have a plan to win a decision, because a KO is never guaranteed.

The shoulder injury happened in round 2 of the Vitali Tsypko fight though... it didn't play a factor against Calzaghe.

Jeff really did admit that his gameplan was to land one punch, which is ****** beyond belief, and I really do think that makes him suck... if you rely on one punch, then you clearly aren't very good at the sport of boxing. If you do rely on one punch, then you need to have a backup plan. He didn't.
I can dig it but I'm just saying Jeff was always that dude he never brought a game plan to the ring he just scrapped and maybe it was ****** but in all honesty he got heart and sometimes in this sport thats all you need, i admire the effort because truthfully at that point in his career going up against Calzaghe he only really had a 5% chance of winning and thats being fair, he was fed to the sharks and just happened to believe in his power THAT much that he relied solely on that, once he couldn't see Joe he folded, he wasn't throwing as many punches and wasn't really doing nothing but surviving.. Jeff was always that dude to just overwhelm but once he couldn't phase Joe's heart and was faced with adversity of his own his power shot style had no room to work.. it was ****** but it worked for him all along and he brought his best it's just Joe is too slick and clever to just adjust cuz as you adjust to him he adjusts to you.. regardless the homie QuCongee is right when he says people are being too hard on Jeff, dude still has room to get better.

And he just was'nt ready for Calzaghe. Too much, too soon.

I blame his team more than I blame him. They are supposed to be lookin out for his best interests and not rushin him into dangerous fights he's too green for.

I think he was overrated by his own camp. The shock on their faces at the post-fight conference said it all.

Jeff Lacy's death would be a high point compared to what happened that night against Calzaghe. You mean he can only go up from that point.

Well, he ****** a bit in his last fight. I hope he can do better than that. Before he fought Calzaghe he DID much better than that! But the loss to Calzaghe doesnt make him a sucker, cause Calzaghe is simply the best at this weight.

Mikkel Kessler couldn't do it with MORE experience and wins than Jeff 1 or 2 years later, Joe C is just a menace, Jeff still showed A LOT of heart and potential but he also reeked of inexperience and he is still very much inexperienced, even still he comes back to avenge a no contest against Vitali Tsypko whom is very tough and has a Unanimous Decision against Peter Manfredo Jr where he was clearly not all there, Jeff wasn't himself in that fight and you can tell, that wasn't the same Jeff with the same intensity as the the Jeff who fought Syd Vanderpool, he has A LOT of potential it's just he is at a down point in his career yet still only has 1 loss and people instead of looking at the good he has they bash him, dude is 23-1, 17 KO's yo what you want? he may not have looked so good after Joe but he's still young, that was like Trinidad-Vargas, people comended Vargas's heart and effort they didn't kick him while he was down..

I'm just saying, and this is no random attack it's real talk, give Lacy some time, I heard something about him being injured and it was affecting him for a while, can't say for sure if that contributed to the Manfredo fight but it ain't his fault people hyped him up, he's going threw a transition and he has to show and prove, it's just the media gives you credit only to turn it around and **** on you as much as they hyped you, Lacy is like 30 years old yo that ain't the worst position to be in, just give him some time..
