No, for this I think Cotto is Mayweather' next opponent. (Bar those lucrative rematches with De La Hoya and Hatton).
Shane lost so much sharpness in his punches and timing with his combos. He is old now. It would be interesting. I see Shane taking 1 or 2 of the first two rounds on activity and aggression, but not landing anything big. I expect Mayweather to adjust soon to do the thing which usually works very well against Shane. Jabs punctuated by the occasional straight right. Because he could not walk Shane down a la Forrest-Winky, he would be more on the move and occasionally dig a hard jab to the body. Shane will still take a few rounds from 3 to 6, but then the bodywork and his being 36 would show, and Mayweather could land some power shots would secure him most of the second half of the fight. Floyd UD.
A few years ago with Mayweather physically smaller and a younger Shane, it would be much more intense action, and harder to pick. The wise money would be on Mayweather IMO, because he is a lot smarter.Comment

The Margarito offer was on the table after that fight was signed. So cut the crap
And the famous 8 mils are the most volatile cash ever seen, as Arum was quick to take it back a few months later saying he did not have that money anymore, which is the most ridiculous thing ever, as Mayweather's value only went up by then, so if anything he would have found more financig for that.Comment

I hope youre right. Cant imagine many bigger fights in boxing right now than Cotto vs Floyd. About Shane vs Floyd I see it a close fight as well, could go either way but I disagree on Mosley's timing and sharpness, I think he never expected Cotto to outbox him and caught him off guard, by the time he realized what was going on he was already in the hole and tried desperately to get out. in a rematch it might be a different story. No, for this I think Cotto is Mayweather' next opponent.
