Why no Margerito-Williams rematch?

Margarito is my FAVORITE fighter. PW was MArgarito mandatory and was for a while, MArg was to be stripped or fight his Mando. PW deserved the fight. That doesnt warrent a rematch. Yes he couldve fought Cotto but the money was gonna be around the same.

How many times do fighters vacate a title to move up or take a bigger fight?.....................ALL THE TIME. PW should consider that without marg pw is still just a guy that hasnt beat anyone tough. And i highley disagree with you on the money. A cotto fight with marg was going to be margs biggest payday by far.

dude listen. the money was around the same. they were offering a little over a mil for the Cotto fight plus PPV REV. but HE WOULD have to wait til after Cotto fought Urkal and also drop his belt. Cotto beating Urkal wasnt definate. nothing is. So the mmoney was around the same .Goosen won the purse bid for like 1.5 mil. the title holder gets 75%, so Marg took the fight. hE MADE 1.2 million from the PW fight. i know this stuff, ive researched it. PW was Margarito's MANDO. MArg lost. he doesnt DESERVE and IMMEDIATE rematch.

it wasnt dumb, it was true, if he started sooner he wouldve won. and he isnt the ONLY person who said that.

Williams found out what Margarito could do in the later rounds. He just got lucky that the Tijuana Bad Ass didn't come in with the right game plan. I think he thought Williams would tire out and he'd just knock him out late. Williams is the one who doesn't want to do it again because it's a guarantee he would get knocked out this time. Margarito is moving on to bigger and better things anyway because he's going to be knocking out Judah and Cotto this year.
