            yes he was for one fight, he was also a fantastic multi-weight champion, including heavyweight, who like it or not and you probably dont, will go down in boxing history as the latter

                You notice how RJJ had his pick of Benard Hopkins,Winky Wright and Joe Calzaghe. But went out of his way to make the fight with Trinidad instead.
                I think this is the frist time a formor Welter weight champ has fought a heavyweight champ. It explains RJJs whole carrer, always wanting a total mismatch.

                  what? i was using their longevity as ONE of the reasons i think they are great fighters and why hameds lack of longevity is ONE of the reasons he isnt

                    He will go down as a cheat and as "Reluctant Roy".
                    And his Brutal KO losses will stand out just as much as his wins.
                    No matter how you try to brush it off Roy used steroids therefore he cheated.
                    We won't know the true extent of his steroid abuse but is was kind of coincidental that his first fight with Tarver was right after the news came out of his Juicing.
