Please, Gomez is highly overrated since he beat a JW blowup and shot Gatti. Cotto will destroy this guy. Cotto just had a tune-up less than a year ago, no need to take another one so soon.

Baldomir isn't ranked in the top ten of any division by BoxingScene, that's why he was not inlcuded.



Well said, I've never accused anyone of ducking Cotto. A Mayweather-Cotto not yet happening has more to do with Floyd and Arum beefing with each other more so than either of the fighters not wanting to fight the other.

But that wasn't my point. Otherwise, we'd have to go into their entire careers.

I also didn't list Quintana and Urkal for Cotto, but both were regarded as Top 10 contenders going into the Cotto fight (Quintana at the time undefeated and coming off of the schooling against the man that makes Rafael drool).

But so far, Floyd is 4-0 as a welterweight. Two out of the four have come against ranked welters (Zab still in the top 3-5 at the time of the fight, and Baldy champ going into their fight). His other two welterweight wins came against Hatton (140 lb. champ moving up) and Sharmba Mitchell (unranked and seriously on the decline).

The Gomez fight will be Cotto's 5th as a welterweight - yet only his first against someone not ranked in the Top 10.

Have you asked FLoyd to fight the 3 that you just mentioned?? OR does this standard apply only to Cotto?

As far as I am concerned... Cotto has mateched or surpassed Floyd's level of Competition. DLH?? Try Mosley....

FLoyd is a *****. Safety first is never something I admire in a fighter.
