I dont think they really are from the same era. Jones is more late 90's early 0's and Mayweather is mid late 0's.

Regardless there were alot of other great fighters in many different weight classes especially early in his career, big heavyweight fights, welterweights fights with De La Hoya sort of dominated the scene. And Mayweather I dont know who he's beaten that makes him so great, if that fight with Hatton was fair and Hatton was allowed to win it could have been different.

Easily Jones Jr. But Roy is essentially done and Floyd has the potential to do a lot more with his career. Through the age of 30, Floyd did more, so ask this question again in a few years and the answer will likely be different.
