And how is his boring counterpunching better than the boxing skills of Barrera and Morales? The boxingskills of Barrera whipped the likes of Ayala, Morales and Hamed while Morales' skills held Pacquiao, Jones, Chavez, Chi etc to thier places. What did Marquez' counterpunching do again? Calling somebody boring is not the gauge of one's boxing knowledge.
Yes it's sweetscience and so? Does that make him better than EM or MAB? His counterpunching isn't even the best, the best counterpunchers in the business is Floyd's and Winky Wright.
Lest we soon forget how great Morales and Barrera was in thier primes. Polls have been made 5 years ago and who was the best and Marquez always comes in below both of them. Dream fights have also been made 5 years ago regarding a match-up between Morales and Marquez (who were both in their primes) MAB vs. JMM and a few people gave JMM a chance. Now that their careers are over...it's soo easy to say that an active, successfull JMM would beat retired legends.
Just look at how JMM performed against a very old Barrera.
