MARQUEZ is a better fighter then BARRERA

Juan Manuel Marquez is a better all around fighter then Marco Antonio Barrera IMO.

Marquez wishes he could have Marco's career.

Last time I checked, Barrera and Marquez fought the significant portion of theirs respective careers during the same time.

Also, there are no Mexican born fighters today NEARLY as prolific as an Erik Morales or Marco Antonio Barrera. Those guys have done more than Juan Manuel Marquez or any younger Mexican champion today could dream of.

          So...what are you talking about.

Juan Manuel Marquez is a better all around fighter then Marco Antonio Barrera IMO.
Maybe, but over his long career I haven't seen him do any of the things that made Marco special. Yeah he figured out Pacquiao after a few rounds and managed a draw...joyous day.

I think Marquez being better was established when he beat Barrera on 3/17/07

Im not talking about who had the better career, im saying who is the BETTER all around fighter.

And beating Pacquiao IS a joyous day, unfortunetly Marquez didnt get the decision he deserved. Pacquiao also beat Barrear and Morales twice so... its a pretty enourmous win

Erik Morales would have given JMM a fight. An old Barrera won four rounds and scored a knockdown. I dont know about them being superior.

Pacquiao beat Morales at the end of a long and grueling career. We know who the better fighter was from the first fight.

Marquez beat Barrera at the end of a long and grueling career. Marco eats him up if thats a few years earlier.

Marquez didn't beat Pacquiao technically. Actually, if not for a scoring error, I believe that Pacquiao would have been awarded the victor.

"The main point of contention centered around the first round scoring, which had Clements recording a 10-7 mark for Pacquiao, while the other two judges scored it 10-6, because of the three spectacular knockdowns. If Clements had given the challenger that one-point advantage then Mr. Pacquiao would have been victorious."

I mean yeah he fought a great fight, but he was lucky to come out with a draw.
