Take out Whitaker UD and add: beat JCC x2 by TKO (cut) and corner retirement when Chavez was 100 years old.

      Yeah I'm hating on Oscar.

Are you kidding, Oscar's resume is untouchable, he's fought everyone. That's why he gets paid.

jorge paez= overrated former 126lb, shot fighter
Jesse James Leija= undersized. Beat no 135lbers to earn shot
Genaro Hernandez= 130lb champ, had nose broken by Mosley prior
Rafael Ruelas= good, devastating win for Oscar
Julio Cesar Chavez= SHOT, & already cut before fight started
Hector Camacho= Totally shot. Equally destroyed by Chavez at 140, 5 years earlier
Ike Quartey= Rusty, timid fighter....almost KO'd by JL Lopez in last fight before facing Oscar. Did not have one single fight between (Oct' 97- Feb '99)
Ricardo Mayorga= Human punching bag...already obliterated & shattered by trinidad
          Vargas= Shattered by Trinidad

This is why I hate boxing fans. You can do this to about anyone career. People have broken down Mayweathers by saying they were "handpicked" and Hopkins and etc.

          Ugh.

At first I voted for Oscar by far, but then actually read the topic and was forgetting some things. So I'd say Oscar by a bit.

I don't think it's reasonable to vote for either man's legacy to surpass each others 'by far'. DLH fought the best, lost some, won some, got 'robbed' in some, 'robbed' others in some, but always had close fights with anyone.

Mayweather has fought very good opposition and thus far has never lost.

Depending on how you like to rate resume you could go for either boxer.

I regret it but Gatti will also get that call 1 day & Hatton isnt too far behind.
Lol! No actually that is not how the hall of fame works. Neither Gatti, Corrales or Castillo will be very likely to make it to the HOF. Just having a big fight doesn't mean a single damn thing! If it did there would be a lot of undeserving fighters in there...What about a guy like 'Bazooka' Limon? He had a number of fights as good as Corrales/Castillo. He didn't make it in just for that. If thats your criteria for a HOF fighter I'm glad you don't pick them.

Losses aside, DLH still has a resume that is so much better than Mayweathers I can't believe people are even bothering to argue! The only thing Mayweather has that is better is that he is undefeated, which admittedly goes a long way, but when the other guy has fought so many better fighters it just doesn't matter. De La Hoyas is unarguably better. He has consistently faced the top guys in every division he has been in and many of them are true HOF fighters, not the popularity contest fighters Haterfree is talking about.
