    Mayweather's Resume is Hand-picked

Has anyone else noticed that all of Floyd Mayweather Jr's opponents have been:

smaller - Hatton, who was at a 6" reach disadvantage
coming off a loss - Judah
past prime - De La Hoya
    shot - Gatti
    limited - N'Dou

He will never face a prime, world-class welterweight like Cotto, or even Williams or Cintron, because he's not 100% sure he would defeat them!

Calzaghe faced and defeated the best prime, undefeated, world-class super middleweight in Mikkel Kessler. Why won't Floyd fight Cotto?

yeah, good thing he didn't fight Gatti or N'Dou in their primes because they would have killed him! lol

I'll bump this thread when Mayweather signs the contract to fight Cotto at the end of this year. He doesn't call himself Money Mayweather for nothing and Cotto will bring in the biggest $$$ at the end of the day.

You also forgot to add Hernandez, Castillo x2, Chico, Manfredy ect.

      What is your point?

      Another Floyd hate thread

so lets us see who Cotto beat at 140 and 147:

          http://www.boxrec.com/list_bouts.php...3535&cat=boxer

I will bring every disadvantage in them.

and lets look at Calzaghe wins too in the same weighclass. I dont think his style could go up at HW or even CW

with all due respect to both fighters

the difference between Calzaghe and Mayweather is that Mayweather is fighting bigger guys, he HAS to cherry pick opponents who he can beat on speed and cunning.

Calzaghe is the best super middle weight out there, he knows he is the best so he can fight everyone.

You can discredit any fighter if you only list the weaknesses of his opposition and not their strenghts.

I could say the same for Calzaghe, after all he is the man who is going up to LHW division and picked the 43-year old guy to fight against.

It true you could make any good fighter look bad just by talking.

But for me anyone who fight a fighter is a threat to him wheather he is 100-0 or 0-50 as long as he is in the ring , there is now way anyone could underestimat him. There is alway things called upset too.

Mayweather been top for long time because he trains every fighter as world class fighter if it is Oscar or Brussless. That is why he alway look impressive

u are dead right i agree but some fighters get better accolaids than others when on the face of it they could or should be doing more to attain that kind of status

thats what i have a problem with personally ,respect your opinion though u area good poster
