What weight class should a 5-9...200 pounf box at???

    Why not fight close to your natural weight? If your a 5-9 athletic person at 10% body fat sounds like your close to where you should fight. Too many people put an emphasis on trying to loose weight to there advantage. I've seen many cases where it hurt more than it helped. Their are plenty of Novice armatures your size that fight around 200 pounds. Just train your ass off watch your diet and see where you are at, weight wise. That will give you a good idea where you need to be. To try and drop to 130-140 range would be insane, based on the description you gave of yourself. You'd be shedding a **** load of muscle and feel like **** if you came close to that weight. I'd guess that the 178 class would be the lowest without doing more harm than good. Remember in the armatures weigh ins are the same day.

      I talked to a doctor who also is a huge boxing and JMM fan said that 154-168 would be ideal.

        dude u cant just drop 60 pounds if u always been at 200 it really depends on your body type u cant expect to drop to 135 and be all paul williams type
