I am pretty sure even after the Cotto Mosely fight.. and even after the Hatton fight.. Floyd was STILL hinting at a possible showdown with Mosely...
Had Shane won, i gurantee....

Granted, but are you gonna ignore his point just because of that? Because I think you can't get past the fact that he doesn't like Floyd and just read the post.
Stop hating!
Link? Source? I don't remember anything about that.Comment

your a ***in dumass bro. First of all, im not a hater. I like Floyd as a fighter hes ***in great. But he wont fight unless he gets ***ing millions and millions of dollars and i dont like that. I gave Floyd all the credit in the world for beating Hatton that was impressive.Classic dumbass hater statement. An undefeated P4P Corrales was not a risk? A prime Castillo in his first fight at 135 wasn't a risk? Zab Judah who just knocked out Cory Spinks wasn't a risk? AN OSCAR DE LA HOYA WHO WAS 19 POUNDS HEAVIER ON FIGHT NIGHT WASN'T A RISK?!?!
Let's see Miguel Cotto move to 154 and dominate. Then let's see him go to 160 and become the Ring Champion, then let's see him go to 168 and beat Calzaghe. In order to even be compared to Floyd, that's what he would have to accomplish.
I said Floyd SINCE he moved up to 140. He fought Corrales at 135 dumb ****. Zab Judah vs Floyd was a ridiuclos fight right after Judah lost to Baldomir. That fight shouldnt have even happened at that time after Judah's showing against Baldomir. Floyd fights guys like Sharmba Mitchell, Henry Bruseles, Carlos Baldomir, Old De La Hoya, and Hatton who looked awful at 147 in his first outing there. He picks his fights very carefully.
Mayweather-Hatton winner shoiuld have fought Cotto-Mosley winner. Its that simple. Cotto is willing and Mayweather isnt. I find it ****** Floyd wont do that, he would rather retire undefeated then take that risk and give the fans a great fight.
for those saying Cotto wont make as much money as Mosley, I KNOW. Im saying its ****** how he would have fought Mosley but wont fight Cotto becase all he cares aboiut is money and he said he fights for love of the sport.Comment

Well I already worded things in such a way.. as To suggest I am going only on memory...
And I am sure its was In a live interveiw and not printed...
But I will have a look around for you..Comment

Floyd is only willing to fight now if he gets things like ***in $20 million a fight. Just becase Oscar De La Hoya and Ricky Hatton made hso fights attractive. I dont think one person in Floyds Hometown was routing for him when he fought Hatton. Hatton and De La Hoya made them sales crazy not him and he needs to realize that. He will get tons of respect for fighting and possibly beating Cotto. And still plenty of Millions of dollars, just not as many millions.who caresComment

Actually, it was at 130, "dumb ****".your a ***in dumass bro. First of all, im not a hater. I like Floyd as a fighter hes ***in great. The Judah fight was signed immediately after Judah beat Spinks. In other words, IT WAS SIGNED BEFORE HE LOST TO BALDOMIR
Ok, he fought "old" De la Hoya, who many if not MOST people picked him to lose against, who everyone was saying was looking great after beating Mayorga, who described himself as being "in the best shape of my life", at a higher weight class, and with a 19-pound weight disadvantage on fight night. 154 is 5 weight classes above were Floyd started. If that's such a small feat and Cotto is the man, why doesn't he go 5 weight classes above where he started and take on Calzaghe at 168? Even if he did, he wouldn't deserve credit according to you, because Oscar was old at 34 yet Calzaghe is 36.
Of course Cotto is willing NOW, now that Floyd is the biggest draw in the sport and a guaranteed career-high payday. Back in 2005 when he didn't have mainstream recognition, Cotto "wasn't ready". Nobody was, in fact. Yet somehow FLOYD is the only one who cares about money.Last edited by tito yuca; 01-01-2008, 01:57 PM.Comment

Actually I was the one that DID address his post directly. I also gave him the reasoning for Floyd's actions. If he continues to complain that has no bearing on my life whatsoever...Comment

Yea its easy to make guranteees when there is no evidence to prove for or against your argument. If Shane Mosley would have beat Miguel Cotto i can almost gurantee you Mayweather-Mosley would already be in the making. But Cotto won and now Mayweather wants to retire. All Mayweather cares about his money i hate him. On 24/7 he says he has enough money that the only reason hes fighting is obviosly for love of the sport, then on the next episode he will say its all about money. He contradicts himself.
Mayweather makes his fights very carefully ever since he has moved p to 140. He only makes fights hes pretty much positive he will win and make good money doing. Hes smart, yes. Hes a great fighter, yes. But hes unwilling to take risks.
I think Cotto-Mayweather would be a great fight if its ever made and i just hope it happens in the future. Hopefully Cotto has a good 08 and raises his stock some more to lure Floyd into a fight. A win over De La Hoya would surely do that.
