Holyfield might be technically superior but he is no Ali, he would brawl with both and put himself into risk.
we will have to agree to disagree

i see where your coming from with Evander he did have tendancy to fight when it was not in his best interests however if Ali could stop Williams then i dare say Evander has the power to hurt him aswell Williams had a terrible defence aswell

Tyson v Liston tough fight stylistically for Mike however i think Tyson tighter shorter mnore compact punches would land more frequently than Liston's punches which IMO were looser etc ,Mike by Tko

He would have just walked forward like a zombie absorbing huge shots.........flicking the jab and then BOOM somehow he'd land a right hand and hurt Wlad late. He was just a machine in fight mode.

Top 5 ATG HW Holmes is........maybe the best single pick I've seen in his prime. ****ing unstoppable.
Ali is the easiest matchup there for Wlad.

I don't think Liston's punches were loose. Liston's punches were very short, he could KO with either hand and stun people with his jab.

If he had an uppercut like Foreman/Lewis/Tyson himself I would put my money on Liston easily but he never really used those. He still has the style to beat someone like Tyson though.

Liston truly destroyed Patterson whos style resembled Tyson's. Patterson didn't have the size to brawl inside with Liston and got roughed up for it and he couldn't outbox Liston either because of the reach disadvantage.

Tyson would have to knock out and outbrawl Liston and that is a very hard thing to do even with his power. He would also have to avoid the jab and get inside quickly to avoid damage.

We are talking prime for prime here. When did you ever see Ali lay on the ropes until he was over 30 years old?

The styles both Tyson & Holyfield use are different from Ali's.
You have to remember that Liston was a street tough kid himself and also would brawl very often.
Just think as soon as Tyson flipped out and started talking all the trash how bad that street kid part of Liston would want to get out and go head to head.

Every movement that a young Tyson used was made just to avoid the jab and Liston had a great hard jab but it wasn't a Holmes type jab where he was going to pop it in and out all night and move out of the way.

It would sure be a great match up though I'd say Liston on points or tyson gets the ko.

I know that but he would still have to deal with the same thing Patterson had to. Tyson can't outbox Liston from the distance, he would have to brawl with Liston and avoid getting outboxed himself because of the reach disadvantage.

He wouldn't be absolutely destroyed like Patterson was though because he is bigger, stronger and can take a punch well. Doesn't like getting up from the canvas to win fights unlike Patterson though.

You can't beat Wlad by moving away from him.

If he can't catch you after you hit him then you sure can.
