Calzaghe is overrated

Calzaghe is way overrated. He has yet to beat an elite boxer. How is he rated in the top 2 or 3 p4p? What has he done? I mean if he is so good, why hasn't he fought a great fighter. Kessler is the best he's fought and Kessler is barely an above average boxer. I'm not saying that Calzaghe is bad, but one of the best p4p? I don't think he belongs in the top 10 even. If he gets into the ring with Hopkins, Pavlik, Taylor, or Wright and beats either one of them, than he belongs, otherwise, he is way too overrated.

Claiming I said "Lacy was a great fighter" falls exactly into the "twisted facts" category. Nobody said that. I said he was hyped to be "the next Tyson". That's true. America was massively on his nuts. True. Joe was an underdog even in his own country. True.

Almost the entire boxing world said Joe would lose. True. I bet even you thought Lacy would KO Calzaghe. That's if you were even into boxing back then, which, going on your posts and complete lack of knowledge, may not be true.

Here. Let's clarify:

Lacy: Don't ever ****ing lie and claim he wasn't the guy to beat before he fought Joe. You can't just revise history after the fact that Joe showed him up for who he really was. America especially was on his nuts. They called him "the next Tyson", and Joe was a big underdog, even in the UK. Then all of a sudden people start ****ting on Jeff, just like they are ****ting on Pavlik now. It's disgraceful how people build up a fighter, put ****loads of pressure on them and then just dump 'em in the trash can once they've been beaten. Would Chad Dawson have gone the same way? Highly likely.

The part in bold says what I think of Lacy. Not that I think he's a great fighter, but someone who was never on Joe Calzaghe's level.

Regardless, Jeff lacy deserves at least some respect, because he stood up like a man and took a severe beating for the full fight. The fight should have been stopped, just as the Jones fight should have been stopped.

Hopkins is a freak of nature because of the way he has looked after his body......His ring inteligince is the main factor in his longevity though. His ring IQ is just so much better these days than it was 10-15 years ago. He could be hit cleanly back then against average fighters where these days great fighters struggle to do it.
