Calzaghe is overrated

When he talks about Jeff Lacy as a Calzaghe opponent, he acts as if Lacy is complete **** and a worthless win. He spent months talking that way.

Then it's announced that Taylor is going to fight Lacy. His response? "Wow, Taylor is the ****ing MAN!". Yes, he actually said that. He really does talk that way.

Sometimes it's instantly apparent with the Americans who are nationalist children, but because he's Canadian it took 5 minutes or so longer to become obvious. Despite this being a boxing forum, the lack of top Canadian fighters means that he has to have a guy from UFC in his avatar, because that's where you have to go to find a top Canadian.

I guess it's lucky that UFC exists, otherwise his avatar would be of some ice hockey player punching another or something along those lines.

And don't get me started on his 'Lennox Lewis was Canadian' thread...

that's exactly why the brits are so hated on this site. you guys hate yourselves so you have to try and attack others with useless insults that don't make sense. First of all you skip over the Taylor-Lacy-Calzaghe thing. Now remember, you claimed that you present facts and Calzaghe fans present delusional comments. In this instance, the Calzaghe fan presents facts, you avoid them.

Secondly, my comment was about you being nationalistic. I presented facts to back this up (your avatar, the Lewis thread). You responded with a delusional comment: that I apparently hate myself, and that all other Brits do too.

If you're keeping score, that's Calzaghe fan 2-0 KSwizzy in terms of facts.

Now in case you require clarification, that's not to say that I consider it a fact that you are a nationalistic fanboy. It's just my opinion. But it's an opinion that is backed up by easily identifiable facts, whereas all you have responded with is delusion ("Everyone hates Brits because they hate themselves").

In my opinion that's not as offensive as an insulting generalisation about your entire nationality, but
1) I don't care

2) It proves my point

Here's why: I made a comment about you being nationalistic. That is a specific comment about you as an individual. You responded with a comment about my country/nationality. This indicates that I have the mentality of an individualist, or at least someone who judges people on a case-by-case basis. Your response indicates that you tend to see things on a national(/nationality) level, hence offering more fact in favour of my opinion.

Notice the use of the word "top" in my earlier post? Now I'm sure you won't deny that no Canadian boxer is in the P4P top 10, right? Maybe Steve Molitor KO'd the entire division last night and I haven't heard about it yet, but it's safe to say that he isn't ranked all that highly P4P.

Whether someone bets or not, it doesn't really indicate how much you care or what kind of a life you have.

If you don't care about points, you don't care about losing them, but you also don't care about winning them, so why bet? On the other hand it may be that you care so much that you aren't willing to risk them.

wow, just wow. this is absolute insanity, lies, delusions, crazyness all rapped up into one post. lacy-taylor, what about that? taylor just came off 2 losses to pavlik and where most fighters would fight bum fighters like Manfredo, Bika, Ashira, Veit, Salem, Mkrtchian and Pudwill so they could get an easy win to boost their confidence, taylor chose not to take that supremely easy route. He instead chose Lacy who is a legit top 5 smw. oh wait, did I just name a few of the guys that Calzaghe fought during his title reign? wow, what a coincidence. And those are not even half of the ATG fighters on Calzghe's resume during his title reign.

2nd, why would you straight out lie about offering both bets? especially when there is proof that I'm the one who made the 150k bet and I said to also do your nonsense bet. your acting as if your bet is something special that I wouldn't accept it. do you realize the delusion in that? and you say I'm nationalistic? lol. check my favorites list. not a single canadian. hell, I'm white and there is only 1 white guy(pavlik) in my favs. If I was so nationalistic I could have easily put guys like Gatti, Langford, Lewis, Chuvalo.... in my favs list. you're a white british guy and I'm sure your top 3 most fav fighters are all white brits. I like st.pierre cuz I use to train at the same gym as him here in montreal before he moved his training to the states. I met him a couple of times and he was a truly nice and humble guy and it made an impression on me which made me an instant fan. I probably wouldn't even have him in my avatar if I didn't ever meet him. Roy Jones would be the fighter I would have in my avatar. In fact, jones&mayweather were both my avatars when I first joined this forum.

oh btw, I have 2 brits and 0 canadians in my favs. I am a TRUE boxing fan. your posts are more to boost your country than to talk about actual boxing whereas I'm a boxing fan first and foremost.
