No sklls Your listening to a biased member of Pyror camp saying that...If you go to Hbo where are they now...Pryor said so himself that "Ray lumped me up but I got mine too".... Jimmy Matz would have no reason to lie, much less if he was for Ray why would he say Howard davis was outboxing him in sparring and besides Dundee has even talked about this saying before he got to camp his boy was sparring with Pyror. He would not have liked that as Pryor is a definate risk for actual fight or sparring....Emmanual steward has talked bout this too, and everyone's recollection is that Ray beat Pyror in sparring..In fact Steward pointed out that He...is the reason why leonard got to go to the olympics because he flew Pyror an leonard into the kronk gym together and allowed them to compete in the easter regionals there as for some reaosn Ray had missed his opportunity.. Ray came in and beat Randy Shields, Pryor and Hearns were both beaten. I will look to see if there is link,..I saw him tallking about this on Tv on day...Very interesting, as He said that the plan was for Ray and hearns as pro's early on build up momentum off of each other. He said hearns and Ray sparred as did Pyror and Ray..and that Heanrs and ray was pretty even in sparring but that hearns was clearly the aggressor and that gave him motivation for a fight in the future. Ray he said when sparring with Pyror, Pryor' balance was real bad...this allowed Ray to really take advantage of him.

I dont think Steward, Matz, Pyror himself will lie...

when pryor trained at the kronk gym and manny was training him, he would have to have pryor and hearns be in the gym at complete opposite times because pryor would taunt and call out hearns the whole time they were around each other.
steward even said that after pryor had had a whole day of sparring and training and went through every sparring partner in the gym and he would stand on the apron of the ring and call out hearns who would just be entering the gym for his training. pryor wanted hearns and leonard so bad and he was avoided like a mother****er. pryor would've beat hearns had they fought in the pros, no doubt, there was no stopping the guy, at all. just watch pryor verses dujuan johnson (another kronk fighter) pryor took everything he threw at him and kept coming forward till he got the stoppage, and dujuan johnson was a guy that manny steward said was one of the hardest hitting fighters he had ever had at that time. dujuan johnson would've been a known world champ had his life not been cut short from being murdered, but johnson was a guy that probably hit just as hard if not harder than hearns and had top notch boxing skills and pryor handled that just like every other fight he had, non stop action, non stop brutality, and don't stop until he has the win, every time.
a true great and maybe the best 140 pound fighter in history. Hawk Time!!!!

He did nt duck Pryor, there was no reason to fight pryor in 81..The world wanted Leonard hearns. or even Leonard duran III..Just to show how people make up stuff. When ray retired on 11/9..The world was waiting to see if he was going to announce a fighter...with Hagler..Not Pryor...This is a folklore that has gained steam due to the Legendary nights documentary...Anyone can go do a timeline and see that Ray would have been ****** to fight Pryor when he challenged him...

No talking about when manny was training him..I am talking about when Ray went up there One specific period of time and they sparred... Ray and Pryor use to be like brothers...Ray's mother was like his adopted mother... She would come to see both of them fight, and Pryor's mother was no where around.... You can even see footage of Pyorr holding little ray in the backround of Ray's fights when he was giving interviews...

Manny started Training pryor after this. But Ray and hearns and pryor and davis...alll knew each other very well during this time frame. Very well. Manny helped Ray make it to the olympics,,,not many people know this.

Yes i have heard Manny talk about dujuan Johnson..but he was no hearns...He had a record of somethign like 15-0 entering that fight and not all were ko's I will do my research but I ams sure that we are talking about the same person..Cuz manny was talking about somebody that Pyror walked through..

Pryor did want ray..but who didnt..Ray represented by far the biggest payday they would have ever had..and Ray did rough Pryor up when they sparred. Pryor even admitted it himself. ...quote "Yes Ray use to lump me up when we sparred, but I got mine too" do yoru google search and HBO where are they at now. He was interviewed and said it.
