[QUOTE=Welter_Skelter;2997925]Well.. they both had belts... so they did something right...
you contradict yourself so much.
first you say that Witter won his title vacant .. which is nothing to note at .. and shouldn't be signifigant.
but are you forgetting that Juan Urango ALSO won a vacant title? or did you forget that tiny tidbit?
and yes Welter i guess Urango fits the "doing something right" by winning a title, but for some reason its counted greater then the vacant title that Witter won.
and as of now I think Witter is much much more deserving than Urango of getting a shot at Hatton ... its not like Urango was anywhere near the top 10 at 140.
and so what if Lovemore & Harris were ranked longer in the top 10 at 140 .. Witter beat both of them.
the whole Castillo was ranked #1 is a BS argument. The Ring ranked Castillo #1 out of pity, and his reputation.
and again, the Ring ranked him .. big ****ing deal.
+ Castillo's legitimacy as the #1 contender was really put in question after going life and death with Ngoudjo.
and yes Piggy that fight with Ngoudjo was Castillo's debut at 140 ... and even after that fight the Ring still had Castillo #1.
I know you saw the Ngoudjo/Castillo fight. its a bit rediculous how some people take The Ring's Rankings so seriously.
Castillo lucked out in being ranked #1 in moving up to a weight class he's never fought at, its nothing more then that.
**and c'monmang' even you admitted that Urango was a prospect .. which judging by his record is a true statement no doubt
im just saying is a 17-0-1 prospect the kind of fight that a fighter who is the best in his division (Hatton) not to mention with a record of 41-0 should be taking?
again why is Hatton after 41 fights fighting a prospect?Last edited by MJ406; 12-31-2007, 01:20 PM.Comment

That beats me too, But i guess they(His Hardcore fans) would say he had the belt that Hatton gave up.Comment

Hatton fought Tszyu who was the champion at 140 and he fought Castillo who was the number one ranked guy at 140 according to the RIng. The trouble with fighting the number one contender is that they're usually not the number one contender once they've been beaten. Realistically any of the top three should be alright and that happens to include Paul Malignaggi and Gavin Rees. The only reason you would disagree with me is because it looks unlikely that Hatton will fight Witter next and you've been trolling Hatton fans for weeks now.Ten fights mate, My last fight was two days ago..Anymore questions? Witter has been in the top ten for 5 years now. Urango and Maussa must be top notch opponents at 140 for them to get to fight Hatton
.
Hatton is a coward until he fights the really number one guy at 140.period.
Incidentally Hatton has had a few more fights than you, so you can ease up on the "coward" hyperbole.Comment

Not really, the only reason i think Hatton is a coward who is using his fans to hide from Witter, is because of all the lame excuse that his camp and some of his fans seem to be using, I already said it isnt a problem if he choose to fight Paulie M because of the American thing but if he fights another undeserving boxer would "YOU"at least put your "boxing fan" Hat on tell us Hatton is definitely avoiding Witter? I really doubt that mate...You see the problem with hatton fans are they're Fanboys not boxing fan.Hatton fought Tszyu who was the champion at 140 and he fought Castillo who was the number one ranked guy at 140 according to the RIng. I don't like Witter and I don't like watching him fight. I think that Hatton will end up fighting him but not until the end of the year, but I don't think it will be pretty.
If Hatton fights anyone who doesn't hold a title next then I will be disappointed, but I won't put it down to him avoiding Witter. I don't think Hatton, who has been in with a few formidable opponents, could be reasonably accused of cowardice for not fighting Witter.Comment

So why has he been avoiding Witter for all this years? I spoke to frank warren recently and he said the only reason they didnt make the fight was because of Billy graham who was really against it, I didnt take Warren too seriously because of his spit from hatton but since he left Warren he hasnt shown any desire to shut his biggest rival up....I remember when Hatton said he has and quote "Witter's name in Me contract" So please tell us Hatton what Happen to that contract? Just look at haye fighting Macca when he doesnt need to..Thats a really Man not hatton IMO...If Hatton isnt going to fight Witter he shouldnt use all this lame excuse because he makes him look bad really.Last edited by Ray*; 12-31-2007, 04:57 PM.Comment

missing the point. Ring's rankings bull****
The trouble with fighting the number one contender is that they're usually not the number one contender once they've been beaten.
really .. not at all. again Castillo was only ranked #1 by The Ring.
and your forgetting the Ngoudjo bout .. its that bout that wrote Castillo of as a joke being ranked #1
you can go on and on how The Ring had Castillo ranked #1. hell say it till you go blue in the face
but that ranking is NOT justified. and it has nothing to do with Castillo's loss to Hatton which you are implying.
look at it like this Piggy.
Would Hatton with two 147 bouts under his belt be recognized as a top 10 Welterweight? **** no
so why should Castillo be ranked #1 by the Ring when he's had zero fights as a 140 pounder? it makes no ****ing senseComment

You need to read the whole thread before you jump the gun mate, We are discussing Hatton's attitude and excuses in trying to duck the fight, Not anything to do with him fighting Witter immediately or him fighting mayweather(So what that isnt a risk fight for Hatton).Comment
