He was already at 160..and had 13 KO's.

    He will own 147-154-160-168.....IMO.

147-154 - YES...I can see Williams owning everybody at 147 and picking up a belt at 154.

160-168 - NO...Williams would get his ass beat by Pavlik,Taylor,Abraham, etc. at 160. At 168...LOL, don't get me started.
They wont be at 160 when Williams finally moves up.

The day the p4p king is going to be sloppy as Williams. I will stop watching boxing. I wish him the best with his career, but I hope the sport has a better future.

He eeked out a victory over Margarito (I say eeked because Margarito kicked ass when he started fighting, Margarito is a just a dumbass, and apparantly doesn't know that you lose if you **** away the first 7 rounds), and everyone thinks he is The Christ. Cool.

8 rounds to 4 (maybe 7 at best) is not eeking.

Let me rehash what I said in the other Williams' thread:

I don't rate Antonio any higher than I did before his title fight with Williams. He's Mayorga caliber- a rough brawler with heart but lacking some basic fundamentals. I think Paul showed that, even at his young age, he had the desire to win- but he has a lot to prove. Beating a rough brawler doesn't make you the heir apparent to the welterweight crown- only idiots think that.

All these people saying he'll be pound for pound and that the division fears him are being foolish You don't base pound for pound supremacy off of a single fight- that's idiotic- likewise, fellow boxers don't see you as a threat by beating a single fighter to gain your title. He hasn't defended it, he hasn't unified- calm down, sparky. He has tons to prove. This coming from someone who likes him, too.

Winning only the rounds that your opponent doesn't try to fight is eeking.

Williams and Pavlik are definitely the bandwagon fighters of 2007. I'm not saying they both aren't excellent, just that their accomplishments haven't caught up with their worship yet.

He did that because he knew he would fade late, thats why he conserved energy so he would have some juice for the later rounds.

You think he didn't fight those early rounds because he CHOSE not to?

It was because Williams took his foot off the gas. Even Steward commented that the tempo was controlled by Williams.
