It was because Williams took his foot off the gas. Even Steward commented that the tempo was controlled by Williams.

I think he has enough ability to milk out quite the career at welterweight. At this point the main strengths I see are a height/reach advantage that, coupled with his high work rate, can help him keep opponents at bay and win him rounds. I wouldn't say he isn't very good...I think he's at least decent- and I like his style of fighting- I just think, at this point, he's beginning to be- like another poster said- a bandwagon fighter (much like Kelly Pavlik).

He will clean up the 147 and 154 divisions....and be the King of the Sport for a very long time.
Are you basing him off the one win over a guy you say is a bum that he barely beat? You're a joke.

#1, mayweather could beat him. #2 he does not belong in that division. he is 6'2" and its like cheating being in that division. He gets to throw combinations without worrying about counter punches. Its not far. Boxing should change its rules and have its weigh-ins on the day of the fights. Williams should be a light heavy weight in my opinion but if they conducted weigh-ins on the day of the fight, he would probably be a middleweight at the least.

Clottey would beat Williams. Floyd would beat him too. Cotto's too small. Margarito in a rematch maybe.

He's going to blow Quintana out. Carlos is a good fighter, he'd fair much better against Cintron and Margarito. I just think Williams being a Southpaw with the height advantage will take him apart.
