He will clean up the 147 and 154 divisions....and be the King of the Sport for a very long time.
Newsflash Paul Williams just lost and looks quite ridiculous doing so. Also, like Max Kellerman stated, PW should be fighting at 154 or 160, he comes in at fight night at close to 165.

He seems like a nice guy, but sorry, he will not be #1P4P.

      GTFO.
He was supposed to destroy Quintana just like Cotto destroyed Quintana. Don't forget that Paul Williams was supposed to destroy everyone at 147 lbs including Cotto and Mayweather and then move up in weight and dominate at 154 and 160 as well! He looked amateurish against Quintana who was utterly destroyed by Cotto so while Williams may have a career as a gatekeeper or a minor titlist I can't help but feel that his career on the world stage is through, yes.

He fights at 147 for a reason, Burner.

He cant fight a lick. He throws a lot of punches, and has crazy physical attributes. When he's at a division where he doesnt have as much of an advantage, he'll get taken apart.

lol, at thread starter, he ran and keep in his hole after Williams lost to Quintanna. Williams v. Mora at 154 would be a repeat of Williams v. Quintanna. And Williams v. Mayweather lmao, you nutthuggers thought he had a chance.

It'd be good for the sport. But i think Cotto beats Williams, and i could also see Cintron beating Williams. Its unlikely, but Williams is SOOO open, you have to admit, and with a puncher like Cintron, it could easily end with Williams far ahead on points
I agree, he's not the most technical fighter and can could cost him. I don't see a thing of beauty when he fights, not eye catching. But he is young and still one of my favs of the moment.

I was on that bandwagon at about the time this post was made. and I did think he was gonna be p4p#1(if he remains a welter) but now I think Gamboa might capture that title before williams does. cuz if he faces marg and beats him, I doubt he gets the #1 spot and after that, who does he have left to lift him higher other than cotto who will get him up another couple of notches to 3rd at best. I think gamboa will take his division and than move up to take another division before williams gets to that #1 spot.

are u serious!!? first of all paul williams isnt even at marg's level. paul is a up and coming boxer who doesnt have that much power. margarito is way too tough for williams and will probably knock williams out in a rematch!
