His height is one of his major tools, I'm not going to comment on whether or not he could become a p4p number 1 for years, because I have no idea what the future holds.

However in relation to fighting Mayweather I think it would be an awkward possibly difficult fight for Floyd but in the end I feel that he'd beat Williams relatively comfortably.

I'd like to see williams move up a division or two.

The older Floyd gets the less chance he has of beating an energetic 25 year old Williams.

Williams said he wants to unify at 147 then he said hes moving up to 154.

williams does not use his height to his advantage. it has been an advantage for him, but there is a lot more that he could do with it. being that tall, he could generate a lot of power by torso movement, ala tommy hearns. hearns was not a terribly powerful guy until manny steward got a hold of him and taught him how to use his height for power... and then we all know how that worked out for Tommy! the rest is history.

I meant his height in terms of his reach, if you're tall you have a longer reach than shorter people generally speaking.

          Sorry for the confusion

I know for a fact that once again, Floyd could possibly ruin the fight and do as you say and resort to the 1 and done thing. That sucks, and some times it's hard to score rounds when he does that in coaliton with running and in general........makes the fight dull. But when he fights, it's exciting because of how good a.....fighter he is.
I agree but honestly, i highly doubt that this fight would happen. Too big of a risk to a small name fighter. Floyd wants the big money and wants to fight the bigger names. Thats why he mentions the likes of Shane Mosley and Oscar De La Hoya, because they will make him the most money and will not make his image look bad if he actually loss to them. Lets see if he REALLY comes back after 1 or 2 years. That will give time for either Cotto or Williams to blow up in boxing and become big names. Then he will come out of retirement and get a HUGE pay day with who ever is bigger.
