Even the best kickboxer on the planet Semmy Schilt didn't have much of a chance against Fedor and he has extensive ground & wrestling training.

But I can tell you this if it had been Wlad who hit Fedor just like Fujita did in their fight Fedor would've been out cold flat on his back. So he can make mistakes too he is only human. Wlad would have a punchers chance, the BEST punchers chance on the planet.

MMA is not about the boxing or grappling skills that you have it about how you use them that is important.

Wladimir Klitschko could literally murder any MMA fighter if he lands a clean punch with those 4 Oz. gloves, but he probably wouldn't get the chance to land a punch because he would get taken down.

[QUOTE=dino;2980164]most MMA fighters 95+ percent, are just very strong guys who know judo or former high school wrestlers ala Matt Hughes, these guys would get destroyed by top boxers.

If you don't think Wlad Klitchko would brutalize Tim Slyvia or Fedor Emirlenko then your a fool! Most MMA matches end up looking like dry sex, with a guy either mounted on top trying to do a arm hold, or a guy having a guy in the missionary position trying to choke him.

100 % agree. Thats why MMA is so boring. Otherwise if there was more fighting upright, punching, kicking, etc..it would be a whole lot more exciting, such as the Mark Coleman - Maurice Smith fight if any of you guys have watched it.

I like MMA too but I think boxing has been more exciting lately...there were a few UFC PPVs that turned out to be a disappointment this year...boxing was great in 2007, we had great fights like Pavlik/Taylor, Pavlik/Miranda, Calzaghe/Kessler, Cotto/Mosley, Vazquez/Marquez II, etc.

It depends on what you like. I do agree that overall boxing has had the better fights this year. MMA has been a bit of a mess lately but it seems like its coming on now with next weekend full of exciting match-ups.

Not really a smart thing to say in a Boxing Forum.

Its really up to the person which sport is more exciting.

MMA has more Ko's but when it comes to picking the most exciting MMA fight ever. MMA fans cant agree, because there arent many fights in MMA that go back and fourth the whole way.

Alot of people dont like seeing guys lay on top of each other in a missionary position, while wearing speedo's.

                    Different sports for different folks.

UFC is declining because it doesn't have any SICK, SICK athletes. Dana hypes white guys (I'm white too fellas) to appeal to the rednecks & the other white people...even if they aren't very good (Sam Stout). GSP, Hughes, Silva, and BJ are the only really good athletes.

                      Boxing has many.
