Because fighting Margarito doesn't help you make more $$$ down the line. If Floyd was retiring after that fight and wanted to make the most money he could on his last fight then yeah, he should've taken Margarito. Beating a relative nobody who doesn't give you more recognition to the public or a bunch of belts doesn't help your future earnings.
