Economics be damned, Witter is still Ricky's #1 home-based challenger. And if Junior has a good '08, maybe unifying, Ricky won't be able to avoid him without it looking like he ducked majorly.
I agree but Witter is one of those guys who really should keep his mouth firmly shut. That's why I reckon he could do with a manager, one who tells him to keep his mouth shut! From laughably interrupting Hatton's interview after he won the British title with "I will destroy you" to graciously granting Paulie Malignaggi the right to fight in his own hometown everything he says endears him less to the public. I heard he is banned from the Doncaster Dome now because he was caught peeing in the splash pool so it's the Gardens or nothing.

Witter only wants a chance that he is the better of the UK/world at 140, The excuses just gets more lame and pathetic by the minute..They have offered a winner takes it all but hatton still doesnt fancy is chances..The "payday" excuse or He doesnt deserve the fight is wearing thin now..He has wanted the fight when Hatton wasnt a payday and he has certainly done and deserve the fight more than any Hatton opponent at 140 bar Tsyzu..Hatton is just a coward who knows he can use some of his dumb fans as a shield to hide his cowardness in this situation..****.

I must've missed that. Which of Junior's remarks made it sound like he was doing Paulie a favor by offering to fight him at the Garden?

JUNIOR WITTER has set his sights on a unification bout with IBF light-welterweight champion Paulie Malignaggi.

Witter, 33, is keen to face fellow Brit Ricky Hatton — but only after he adds Malignaggi's title to his WBC crown.

And the Hitter has told the New Yorker he will be happy to meet him on his own turf at Madison Square Garden.
That was taken from another topic. He can beat Mayweather, he's willing to let Paul Malignaggi have hometown advantage and he's even willing to take less money that Ricky should they fight.

Squeal, I think you're putting a slight spin on things. That reads more like stock journalistic phrasing to me, and much less like a solid indicator of delusional arrogance on Junior Witter's part.

at this point with all the talk flying every which way witter and paulie should fight. which will bring 2 more titles together since paulie, and witter each have one. so next the winner gets the hatton shot, and than the outcome of the hatton fight will unify his titles with those of witter, and paulie! of course this is to good to be true, but it would be a great way to get it all accomplished!
