RICKY HATTON has been promised a big pay-day for fighting rival Junior Witter.
Hatton, 29, wants to rebuild his career after losing to Floyd Mayweather in Las Vegas for the world welterweight title.
WBC light-welterweight holder Witter, 33, is a potential opponent in May.
And Witter will waive his right for the bigger slice of the purse as champion.
His promoter Mick Hennessy said: “It’s not about money for Junior.
"All he wants is the chance to prove he’s the world’s best light-welterweight.
“We’d be happy for Ricky to take the lion’s share of the purse. Junior will fight him anywhere.”
