I think Mayorga would be great in MMA. He has that grit, Mayweather doesnt.

**** he trained with America MMA top team for the Vargas fight.

      And of course Tye Fields.

        Headlocks? Full Nelsons?

        Dude you are ****ing ******ed.

JJ has existed longer then the sport of boxing. It has taken hundreds of years to perfect. It takes as much skill and longer to master then boxing. It's roots run deep. Hundreds of years deep.

        You are seriously delusional.

I will put up $100,000 that says BJ penn chokes Floyd out cold in less then 2 minutes. It's not even a ****ing question.

Floyd is a good boxer. Thats where it ends. He only knows how to use his hands. Period. Their is more to fighting then using your hands. Which is why one dimensional strikers get dominated like chumps.

                Thats not the case.

The only disgraceful fighters are the ones from the newer seasons of TUF. Don't look at them like they are good, because outside of 2 of them they are really not. That show is just to get publicity.

More then half of the best fighters don't even fight in the UFC. The UFC is a small tiny fraction of Mixed Martial Arts. It's like looking at Showtime boxing ans saying, well, thats all their is to boxing.

                    2. BJ penn is a prodigy. He also started earlier then 18. Bernard Hopkins started training in prison and is one of the p4p best, whats your ****ing point?

                    3. AA was in Sambo since he was 4 years old. He started COMBAT SAMBO in the teens.

                    4. Sherk is a steroid abusing monkey, who is not top 10. However he is an accomplished wrestler. You can continue training wrestling outside of college you know. Just like some boxers don't go to the Olympics.
You're crazy if you dont think Davis, Lytle and Sakara arent top 20. You could almost make a case for Davis being in the top 10. Lytle certainly was looking great against big-time prospect Thiago Alves in UFC 78. But he lost due to a cut. In fact, if you watch that fight you can really see the difference in hand speed and lytle was a mediocre pro boxer in Indiana. And both those fighters strengths are striking. Alves is Muay Thai so its not like he was doing that against a wrestler.

Bernard Hopkins trained in boxing before prison. He just didnt pick up a pair of gloves and hit the heavybag. And like Penn, Hopkins is a rare exception. hopkins has put his whole life into this sport. He eats incredibly clean foods, trains like an animal.

Im not denying that MMA doesnt take skill. It does. But there is just less emphasis on skill in MMA than there is in boxing. For example, Koscheck, Hughes, Trigg got outwrestled by GSP who has no amatuer wrestling background. Randleman knocked out Crocop whos an elite kickboxer. Roger Huerta overwhelmed Alberto Crane on the ground despite Crane being absolute world class in BJJ.

On the other hand, in boxing the best fighter almost ALWAYS wins.

Also, others have received black belts fairly quickly as well. Jeff Joslin recieved a black belt in BJJ in a little more than 3 years, GSP has a brown belt in BJJ after only 3 years. He doesnt even devote his time to BJJ either. He balances boxing and wrestling with it as well.

Mayorga has grit??? and Mayweather does not??? have you seen their training programs...Mayorga puts in maybe 2-3 hours a day compared to Mayweather's long gym hours...

dont confuse Mayorga's raw fight style and attitude as grit...Mayweather is a polished samurai sword whereas Mayorga is a rusty switchblade...stfu!!!
