He dropped Quartey twice and did enough to win it.
Yeah, Quartey was backed in a corner swinging for his life because he really won that fight clearly .

    Castillejo
    Gatti
    Fernando Vargas
Miguel Angel Gonzalez - gave him his first loss.
    Ike Quartey
    Genaro Hernandez
Julio Cesar Chavez (you can claim he was old but so was DLH when Mayweather fought him)
    Jorge Paez
    Camacho
    Jesse James Lieja
    Rafael Ruelas
    John John Molina

De La Hoya fought anybody and everybody, unlike ***** boy Floyd who ducks everybody he should be fighting and makes fights which hold no significance past the 135 division.

Mayweather was heavily accused of ducking baldomir and margarito at the same time on this board, and after the baldomir/gatti fight, steward said he wouldnt be impressed with floyd unless he fought baldomir, before the fight he said baldomir was going to be floyds biggest test, then as the fight progressed, simply ripped floyd midfight for not going for the KO.

People are very forgetful on this board, after someone loses, they act like nobody wanted floyd to fight "x" fighter, but in reality there was a demand for the fight.

there was a time on this board when the hatton/floyd fight was just as anticipated as the zab/mayweather fight, and yes, the oscar knocking out floyd hype was tremendous on here, the same people who picked oscar to KO floyd are now singing a different tune, to be honest, this is becoming redundant, people are changing their opinions faster than politcians jumping on the next hot topic.

The Floyd haters have a history of being full of ****. Oscar was going to expose Floyd. Now Oscar was so old (Oscar is only 4 yrs older than Floyd). 2 years ago he was running scared of Hatton. Now Hatton was so small. Before that he was going to get KOd by Gatti because he never fought anyone who hit as hard as Gatti. LOL When he fought Diego he was suppose to get destroyed. But then Diego was having such a bad night. It goes on & on & on.

what fighters do you think he'll promote? And do you think Delahoya will again step in and help another boxer in Mayweather with his promotions or is floyd going to do this on his own?

And tell me how many fights did Vargas have at the time when he fought Trinidad? Vargas was still a good fighter when he meet Delahoya. Mayweather gave a shot to Judah AFTER Judah lost to Baldomier, lol. After the Castillo fight Mayweather didn't fight anybody for a good while, because he got the scare of his boxing life, other greats keep fighting good fighters they don't protect there record as much as floyd has.

But floyd nuthuggers can sing all they want about floyds shoulder injury against Castillo, i don't ever recall floyd having surgery on his shoulder. And floyd was scared of fighting Castillo in L.A, poor floyd always picking his fights.

                    Fight the best, right?

Only if Floyd returns does he have to fight the best or lose respect, but if he stays in retired mode, he doesn't have to do a damn thing.

It would help his legacy with fights and wins over Cotto and Williams, and even Forrest if he goes that high, but it's his life, his career.
Well, if thats the BULL****, you're going to bring up, lets go back to the interview and see what else Delahoya said....
