If he cared about any fighter he should have told Gatti. I bet Gatti has some serious health problems in the next 10 years.

A lot of boxers have took way more shots than Hatton. I bet 5 years down the road, when Mayweather is asked about Hatton he'll be like" Ha I retired that ma****er"
probably because they asked him how he feels about the fight thats why. i doubt it was just something he brought up outof the blue.

"what do you think hatton should do next?"

If hes going to be hard you got to ride that **** out. You cant be a gangster every now and then. You cant cry in the ring. You gotta go out like Al Capone

        Benard Hopkins on Mayweather.

          Wow, this is crazy.

First, the controversy with the ref by his supporters, now, his Conqueror tells him it's best to retire. Hmmmm, reminds me of another fight. Thinking...Thinking....oh yeah, Hatton vs. Tszyu, same thing happened except Ricky is on the losing side.

          Karma is really a *****.

I wish Ricky well. Wouldn’t mind seeing him go out on a high note with a win over a title holder at 140.

Floyd is the warrior fighting, your the guy watching at home...So Floyd decides if it was a war or not. Hatton probably shouldn't fight anymore. If he's fighting just for the money and he's above 140 then he will get his ass handed to him by whoever

Did Hatton tell Tszyu to retire? I read the other day Tszyu isn't actually retired.

Both Ricky and Billy advised Kostya (through articles/interviews) to retire. Tszyu didn't even get a word out of his mouth and they both had a comment.

Personally, I thought Tszyu should have retired after Mitchell (II), also when his trainer would have originally liked him to retire, but he kept going. I felt he had been on the decline for years and it was even mentioned by the commentators during the pre-fight talk of the Judah fight.

The problem here is this, Hattonites like to say Tszyu was at his best, which he wasn’t, but all of a sudden it is OK to advise him to retire, even though supposedly he was at his best going into the fight. So it's fair to advise Hatton to retire as well if we go by this way of thinking.

I try to admire and respect Floyd Mayweather Jr. like I used to before he fouhgt baldomir and Hatton. Now, he keeps talking this unreal **** to defend his "achievements". Who in their right mind would say the Hatton fight was a WAR? Well, maybe if you are use to see RAW is WAR, then maybe. He dominated a smaller and lesser 140 pounder at 147 pounds. Is that an achievement? Dude, to win a war, you better spit off blood and have your face swollen and disfigurated like a TRUE WARRIOR.

To make it worse, a bunch of people in the GayWeather's PayRoll keep posting about the KO, like it was one of the best ever. What a ****ing Joke!!! It was one of the funniest KOs ever no doubts. The way Mathesse got HIS ASS KNOCKED THE **** UP by Kermit was way much better.

Just put the bong down and step away from the keyboard...

Benard says **** like that, goes to a jail and sees a mural of him in his honor, and starts shedding tears like a newborn baby. Go figure.
