Floyd hit ricky with about 12 punches a round at most, Ricky hit him with about 6.

Far far far from a war.

Hatton doesn't have much left, I don't see that as a controversial statement. But he deserves to go out at home as a winner. He should have a very winnable but serious fight in Manchester next year.

Hatton gives a lot of punishment, however he also leaves himself open to take punishment as well. I think Mayweather is just showing concern. Either way, I think Hatton should fight a few more and then make that decision.

Boxing is just such a sensitive sport to gauge sometimes. Being hit a lot over time will certainly make an impact physically.

When you think about it, most featherweights who fight like that and start off early like hatton did are done by 29-30-31, hatton is 29, i honestly think he might have a couple more left, but him promising him mom to retire by 30 wasnt no bull****, hes eventually going to get even slower and weight drain will prevent him from being effective at some point, factor in alcohol and you see where im getting at.

I think PBF is hinting he dont want a rematch with Hatton. He was relieved he was able to beat Hatton (when secretly he might have had doubts) and is going to take his win and run.

Obviously if health is the primary concern, you retire as soon as you make enough money, and the boxing fans never get to see another great chanpion again

Hatton still has greatness within his grasp.
Hatton's actually been through a half dozen or so fights where he has been hit alot...He can take a punch but that does take a toll on you...

I think he should fight Malignaggi and witter and then hang them up. He has been thru a lot and his face shows it. And he should fight 1 of them before the ESPY's because that KO is gonna be a highlight. Pyschology it would help to fight before the ESPY's, lol

it was a war for Ricky that night of Dec. 8 as he kept trying and trying to wear down Floyd, but kept getting hit with clean shots....Ricky makes it a war everytime he steps into the ring
