It was a good performance similar to the way Nunn was a good win, being as Toney was in trouble in both fights, and pretty much needed the KO to win(Nuun because he was down on the cards, and Littles because he was cut).

Obviously, Nunn was winning, that doesn't meant James Toney wasn't putting on a masterful defensive performance.

That is completely backwards the way I see it. You base some guys on their unfulfilled potential in other words, higher than someone who accomplished more. I don't get it.

Doesn't that say something about the fighter?

According to the cards, Jones was up. Based on what I saw, Griffin had everyone going because he did a lot better than anyone would've thought, but he wasn't really winning I didn't think. I believe I had Jones up by a point or two.

That is why I have said James Toney COULD HAVE BEEN. You really need to read what I say before putting words in my mouth.

If you do not Judge a fighter on how good he is, then what do you judge him on?

                  I had Montell comfortably ahead.

Sure it does, but it's not like he's the only one to do something like that. Good stuff, but doesn't change the fact that he simply doesn't rate as highly for me because of the fact that he wa sgetting thoroughly outboxed by Nunn, and even having trouble with Littles.

Yup. he pulled it out when he needed to. The 12th round of the Jirov fight was proof of this too. He stood up to Jirov's final rush.

I'll go on the record as saying that he's one of the best of our era, but not in the top 3. Top 10, maybe.
