I agree. People have to understand that pushing with your elbows is safer than using your gloved-hand to push someone back, why? because you would look like Rahman vs. Lewis (when he was KTFO)...it leaves you exposed. Floyd's "old school", he knows what is best.

If he was throwing elbows to cut or hurt, the ref would have noticed.

Hatton tried to pull a Tyson-botha, where he looked like he was trying to brake Money May's right arm in one of the rounds.

Floyd started to do it right back as if to say, "Your a bully, I going to kick your ass at your own game."

Yeah, look at the picture, look at how close they are. You cannot extend your arm so you push off with your elbows/forearms.

Look at the sequences where they were allowed to punch out , Floyd wins 90% of those exchanges and Hatton backs out , look at the 8th when Floyd turned it up a notch , Hatton was holding and back peddling and taken to town ,,, this was a prize fight and like all prize fights they unwind over rounds and go through hills and dales , it was a battle over time that the better man won , and he won in a shut out .
Do you even know what a shutout is?

the fight should have been better a bit if cortez wasn't that much concern and i dont know why. there where lots of times that the fight should be break a little bit longer not that very quick. cortez could have warned hatton easily if somethings illegal was thrown right away. lots of fighter do that to gain the some inside advantage, hopkins is one so why would hatton is b exempted. i thought floyd was ready for that so thats no problem w/ him, he handled the pressure ok but cortez was not.

Dont get me wrong, I respect the roughhousing Floyd had in his bag of tricks. In fact he is greater in my eyes now that I know he has that too. This does not change the fact that Cortez ******. (Note that this is the exact opinion Hatton has on the subject)

ps: I love Hopkins, Casamayor, Duran, Hatton, JC Chavez, Castillo... I love inside fighting

While holding his other arm so that he can't pull his glove out?

No. A shut out is when a boxer wins every round which not even the nuttiest of huggers could say happened in this match.

I dont get it. I think those that dont admit mayweather was fouling are not true fans of the sport and neither of Mayweather. A great fighter can adapt and do what he takes to win.

Mayweather outroughed Hatton. He outhattoned hatton. What do you want more?

And the early clinching was superb strategy.

Boxing is not figure-skating (ok given some past episodes maybe I picked the right sport to contrast )

Do you ever look past the nose on your face .

Win 1 round in 10 and to end up like this is a shutout mate !
